Mat-Su: Looks like greenup is happening this week.

Mat-Su: Greenup happened through this week. Red currant flowers are blooming all over, large-looking flowers in many places this year.
June 20
Mat-Su: Fireweed blooming just in time for solstice.
August 8
Swamp land, Big Lake: Picked lots of great (domesticated) raspberries and also elderberry. A whole bunch of white spruce in the Mat-Su are spruce-beetle-killed or infested.
October 21
Mat-Su: First snow.
August 16
Mat-Su: Blueberries are being picked all over the Valley and Anchorage. Rosehips and watermelon berry, and highbush cranberry are all ripe.

Mat-Su: Greenup happened this weekend.

Mat-Su: Noticed “first” fireweed blooming, then started seeing it everywhere.

Mat-Su: No snow left, no greenup.

Heard it was the coldest July on record for Southcentral. Heard blueberries are good in Fairbanks but not the Valley.
