Girdwood: Blueberries and trailing currants are small and green. Lots of beautiful blooms on trailing raspberry, salmonberry, cloudberry, bog cranberry. Some small berries forming.

Hatcher Pass, Fishhook: Picked blueberries in subalpine areas. Very sweet, and many berries have dropped off plants now, though they’re not squishy yet.
September 19
Hatcher Pass, Fishhook: Picked lots of dwarf blueberries above the treeline. Leaves are dropping revealing many accessable berries. Also picked bog blues and some wrinkly early blues. The berries are all pretty sweet and good at this point.
August 1
Winner Creek, Girdwood: Salmonberries are ripe, with plenty still unripe. Picked some blueberries. Highbush cranberries are about half red.
July 26
Nordic trails, Girdwood: Forest- Picked Alaska and Early blueberries. Enough berries are ripe to go picking, but plenty are still green. Trailing black currants and trailing raspberries are plentiful and almost ripe. Perfect watermelon berries, elderberries, and reddening highbush cran plentiful here (like everywhere). In the meadows- cloudberries are plentiful and perfect/tasty! Really good bog blueberries too. Bog cranberries red but not ripe.
August 17
Crow Creek Road, Girdwood: Picked some highbush blueberries (early and alaska.) Some ready, others not ripe. Not a great year. Too late for salmonberries. Many trailing raspberries, some ripe and others overripe and mushed.

Crow Creek Road, Girdwood: Picked some blueberries, some ready, lots not ready yet. Picked great salmonberries. Lots ripe, some almost ripe.

Crow Creek Road, Girdwood: Blueberries are small and green. Lots of nice starflower and huge ferns.
