Swamp land, Big Lake: Currant flowers have been going absolutely crazy all over the Valley. I’ve seen many red currant and skunk currant flowers particularly. Red elderberry plants have purplish green heads getting ready to flower. Blueberries flowering. Timberberry flowering. Bog cranberry flowering.

Resurrection Pass Trail, Hope: Crowberries flowering very nicely. Trailing raspberries flowering in some patches. Ate watermelon berry greens. Still some snow around. (Caribou Creek Cabin.)

Resurrection Pass Trail, Hope: Ate lots of very sweet watermelon berry shoots (salad). The trail still has snow and I didn’t see a ton of flowers around, although currants are flowering everywhere I’ve seen the plants.

Swamp land, Big Lake: Gathered lots of good very big/tender spruce tips which are everywhere. Elderberries and raspberries flowering. Red and black currants flowering too. Also bluebells, etc.
